Day 311

December 31, 2013

I’m grateful for the book Boundaries: When to Say Yes, How to Say No to Take Control of Your Life by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend.

I am learning a lot about boundaries through a Christian perspective, which is really helpful. I wouldn’t have said that I was guilty of misinterpreting boundaries because of my Christian upbringing, but as I read the book I can see how certain concepts were conveyed that confused me.

While we are going through a very difficult time, I am aware that God is leading us out of captivity. I may have to learn new principles and ways of operating, but I do believe I have the strength (and just barely enough courage) to take the steps I need to take.

I think it’s fitting that we are being led out of old patterns at the end of the year. May the New Year bring positive changes for you as well.

Bring on 2014 …
